As the Web master for Kerrel Cycles, I am completely self-taught via textbooks. I have never used any WYSIWYG
software to create Web pages, and I always write my code by hand.
The layout for this site is accomplished using CSS rules only, and there are no tables to be found anywhere. This layout
works in modern versions of the popular browsers for a PC, and I know that it works on Safari for Mac.
If you are using a Mac, then good for you, but please don't use Internet Explorer for Mac, because it is a piece of
$#ξ%, and you will have all sorts of problems while trying to view Web sites (including this site).
To be sure that you are seeing this site the way it was intended, I recommend viewing it in Firefox, which is an open-source
browser by Mozilla, and is available as a FREE download. No strings attached! There is a version for the PC and the Mac. (Click
here, or click on the logo below to go to
the Firefox download page.)
I can't possibly give enough praise for the Firefox browser. There are many downloadable add-ons and extensions that will make
Firefox do all sorts of things your default browser can't do. But even if you never bother modifying it in any fashion, Firefox
is a solid, cutting-edge browser that will display Web pages the way they were intended to be viewed. There's no need to continue limping along
using your old defualt non-standards-compliant browser.
The Web master of Kerrel Cycles welcomes any comments or criticism, and those can be sent to dhwd@sonic.net
